Our program is a journey to empowerment. Conscious Kids teaches high risk youth to view their challenging lives as useful learning experiences. We believe these young people are survivors and are probably more sensitive and perceptive than many of us. Survivors need to understand how special they are.
Young people learn to perceive the impact of thoughts and beliefs on their lives. Eventually they can discern and directly experience the benefits of taking a high road.
We are all products of what we think and believe. Nothing else is possible. Critical thinking skills and constructive beliefs are essential for all people; more so for these children.
High risk inner city children, orphans and foster care kids are extremely vulnerable to developing a victim mentality that if left unattended can lead to an unproductive and unnecessary life of hardship. Giving these young people a hand up is what Conscious Kids does. Read more
